Three Calcot staff members and five Calcot growers were recently elected to leadership positions during the National Cotton Council’s recent annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.

Calcot’s CEO, Paul Bush, was re-elected to the NCC’s board of directors representing the cooperative segment. Joe Cain, Calcot’s VP of Warehousing, was elected to the NCC’s board representing the warehousing segment. 

Calcot’s EVP of Sales, Carlo Bocardo, was elected 2nd Vice President of Cotton Council International, an organization that promotes US cotton to International markets. Mr. Bocardo is also a cooperative delegate to the National Cotton Council. 

Calcot Directors Gary Martin from Firebaugh, California, and Jon Whatley from Odem, Texas, were elected to the NCC board representing the producer segment. Mr. Whatley represents Texas on the American Cotton Producers board; Mr. Martin is the western regional director on the ACP board. 

Calcot grower Adam Hatley from Mesa, Arizona, was elected Vice Chairman of the American Cotton Producers from the western region. Calcot director KC Gingg and Calcot grower Jerry Rovey, both from Buckeye, Arizona, were the 2 individuals elected to represent Arizona on the ACP as state producer chairmen. 

Gene Seale, a ginner from Pima, Arizona, was elected to lead the National Cotton Ginners organization for 2023.
