Calcot is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristjan Svanbergsson to our VP-Finance position.  Kristjan replaces former CFO Roxanne Wang, who left the company in July.

A native of Iceland, Kristjan brings a wealth of financial experience to Calcot.  His most recent role was Head of Finance and Business Development for Fondomonte, a large Saudi-owned corporation with farming interests in Arizona that included over 30,000 acres of alfalfa grown for export.  Kristjan also worked for Fondomonte’s parent company, Almarai, overseeing international investments related to the Saudi company’s dairy business.  He has extensive trade finance experience, as well as derivatives trading experience from positions held with companies in Iceland including an oil importer.

Kristjan holds a BS degree in Finance from Georgia State University, where he graduated with honors.  He and his wife reside in Buckeye, Arizona, and have two children that are attending college abroad.  Kristjan, along with Calcot CEO Paul Bush, work out of Calcot’s Glendale, Arizona, office and commute frequently to our corporate office in Bakersfield.

Calcot welcomes Kristjan to the Calcot family.
